With the rise of new disciplines like K-Winging and pocket winging, the F-ONE ROCKET FREE range keeps expanding to answer riders' growing appetite for glide, speed, and long-distance flight. The ROCKET FREE DOWNWIND is the newest addition, purpose-built to make the most of open water bumps and swells.

It builds on the fundamentals that made the ROCKET FREE MIDLENGTH such a versatile performer, an elongated outline, generous volume, and a forgiving rocker line, while pushing every parameter further toward glide and early take-off.

Compared to the ROCKET FREE SURF, the DOWNWIND is more stable and easier to ride in open water: increased thickness and a wider nose provide extra lift and support at low speed, while squarer rails and a more front-biased foot pressure make it easier to find the sweet spot and stay connected to bumps for longer.

Like the rest of the range, it benefits from F-ONE's Bamboo Deck Construction: a light, durable, and directly responsive platform that transmits every input from the rider straight to the foil.

Available in five sizes from 6'4" to 7'8" (85 to 124L), the ROCKET FREE DOWNWIND covers riders of all weights and levels looking to link bumps further and longer, whether behind a boat, downwind of a beach, or on open ocean swells.

Downwinding in open water carries inherent risks. F-ONE recommends riding with a buddy, a leash, a PFD, and always checking local conditions and regulations before heading out.

Twin-Tracks - The twin-tracks system with a lateral spacing of 90mm is one of the standards in the industry. The system is compatible with all foils featuring a top plate with four fastening bolts. The length of the tracks leaves some room to adjust the position of the foil on the board to help everyone reach their preferred balance.

Bamboo Deck - Using a layer of bamboo only on the deck, this construction has been optimized to guarantee the board is as light as possible, all while ensuring strength and durability as well.
