In this spirit, the ROCKET FREE SURF builds on everything that made the ROCKET SURF PRONE a success: an elongated outline that facilitates take-offs, optimized volume distribution, and a carefully tuned rake angle that creates perfect front-to-back foot pressure. Combined with reduced thickness, this provides excellent in-flight control.

The straight rocker line ensures smooth acceleration, while the beveled rails reduce drag on touchdowns and enable more aggressive, committed turns. A slightly flatter nose improves both control and pumping efficiency, while the tapered nose and tail enhance maneuverability and help avoid unwanted contact with the water during carves.

The rear step and kicktail free up water flow and boost pumping amplitude. Finally, the deck has been widened and reshaped slightly to improve foot placement and overall stability.

Compared to the FREE DOWNWIND, the FREE SURF is a nimbler board thanks to its tapered nose and bottom outline, reduced thickness, and balanced foot pressure. This combination offers excellent pitch stability, even during the most powerful turns.

This board is available in HD Foam Carbon Composite, a very light and stiff construction that enhances maneuverability and delivers an even more direct foil feel. More reactive when pumping, the carbon version does nonetheless share the same shape and program as the bamboo.

HD Foam Carbon Composite - This sandwich construction (high-density foam + glass and carbon fiber) allows the board to be lightweight and strong, as well as tougher to heel pressures and dings. Carbon Twin-Tracks - Built with the industry-standard 90 mm spacing, these Carbon Twin-Tracks are compatible with all masts featuring a four-bolt top plate. The carbon construction noticeably enhances the connection to your foil, delivering a more direct feedback, improved pumping response, and greater maneuverability. You feel instantly locked in and in control for a smoother, more precise ride. Slightly longer than standard twin-tracks, they also give riders more room to fine-tune foil positioning and dial in the perfect balance on the board.
